Artist: Julien Lefèvre. Execution: Fibru Fisch S.A., Brussels. Publisher: CEBA. Issue: 400 pieces in bronze. Diameter: 8.00 cm. Good condition. Light scratch at the revers. Little spot on revers at the “R” of Eisenhower.
The obverse depicts the portraits, to the right, the three commanders of US forces during the Battle of the Bulge: Dwight D. Eisenhower (15.10.1890-23.31969), Supreme Commander of the Allied forces, Omar Bradley (12.2.1893- 1981.04 .08), commander of the 12th Army group and George S. Patton Jr. (11.11.1885-21.12.1945), commander of the 3rd US Army.
The reverse shows a statue of the GI, the work of sculptor Michel Heintz, Luxembourg, flanked by the coat of arms of the United States of America and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
