Antique majolica crab plate, signed Alvaro Jose, Caldas da Raina Portugal, Palissy - style crustacean wall plate in 3D relief. It is a decorative plate from Portugal around 1900 (?). Light shards, colourfully glazed. Slightly hollow, round large plate with rich trimmings in trompe l'oeil style: sand, seaweed and shells and a crab in the middle.
Manufacturer: Alvaro Jose Caldas Da Rainha, Portugal.
Markings: on the bottom with a 3-line press mark (the mark is difficult to read).

Condition: used, nevertheless in good condition. The plate has no chips or rejections. The plate is in a good, perfect, undamaged condition, no cracks or chips.
