Pocket watch holder – pocket watch stand La Fontaine Le corbeau et le Renard
This is an antique, exceptional, high-quality pocket watch stand/watch holder. It shows Le corbeau et le Renard (The Raven and the Fox), mounted on marble bases (one black and one gray), where the hook for the pocket watch is attached to the tree. Maître corbeau, sur un arbre perché, tenait en son bec un fromage. It is a fable by Jean de La Fontaine (Master Crow sat on a tree and held a cheese in his beak).
Manufacturer: unknown.
Condition: used, nevertheless in good condition. The corners are very slightly bumped; otherwise there are signs of age-related wear. The patina is partially rubbed.
